Does anyone have experience with the Fat-Mat sticky mat from Johnson Plastics, as compared to the MultiMat from Laserbits? Serious price difference - are they that different, or functionally about the same?

Thanks for your collective wisdom!

Don't know the answer but I use a similar material on my mechanical engraver and it works very well.

What brand & source do you use, Mike?

Steve,

Don't the price from Laserbits but I got my multimat from JDS 12 x 24 for under $200.
It is newer one marked Seklema. This is white one and I also have older version 12 x12 size and both work well.
I mostly use it for holding down thin plastics and paper for cutting.

Mine was on a table I bought from Newing Hall. It's black, about 6 or 7 years old and looks like new.

We sell the MultiMat at JP too (12x24 is $123.75.) The MultiMat is 2 sided, so you get twice the use out of it as opposed to Fat-Mat, which is only 1 sided.
