Here's a pic of the lego play desk I made for my grandson. You can buy the lego base plates at Target, (and lots of other places I'm sure). The plates are 15" x 15", so I used two to make a 15" x 30" play surface top. Wrapped a piece of 1/2" plywood with some 1/2" x 1" I had lying around. I made the plywood 15 1/4" x 30 1/4", then cut a 1/2" x 1/8" groove in the molding. Two plastic storage units from Wal Mart make the base. I secured the top to the two bases with industrial Velcro so they could store it away if they wish, and secured the lego base to the plywood with double face carpet tape.248746
