Here is a couple of pictures of my second alcohol dried bowl, an Ambrosia Maple bowl turned from a blank my wife bought for me at Christmas. It is roughly 4"tall and 7" in diameter. So far I am enjoying my adventures in green wood turning and alcohol drying. I have been using a moisture gauge to determine when the wood is no longer giving up moisture and when it is in the range of 12-14% I figure it is good to go...

Comments appreciated...

Big Mike,
Great shape ...and wood. Did you flatten the bottom slightly or is it a rounded lap bowl? -Steve

Thank you gentlemen. I appreciate the positive feedback. :)

Steve, there is a tiny foot about 2" in diameter that the bowl sits on and provides a recess for my name, date and wood species.... ;)

Thanks again for the feedback.

Nice shape, Mike,

I like the "roundness" and the way you did the inside.
I have always loved the finish you achieve - great looking piece.
