It may have been me, John.

I asked about an Inca shaper I saw for sale. I never saw one before and was curious. Someone wisely pointed out that a shaper works best if it has a lot of cast iron for weight. Someone must have liked it though, it's gone.

Hi Rick, Well, you're on the other side of the country anyway so it wouldn't have mattered. If the comment about a shaper working best if has a lot of cast iron swayed you to not consider an Inca because it doesn't weigh much, I assure there is no correlation and I'm betting the person who said that has probably never even seen an Inca much less used one. I don't know of anyone who has owned one who has ever said they were disappointed they bought it or that it didn't meet their expectations for quality of the machine or of the wood that came out of it.
