New guy here. Figured I'd jump right in!

My latest project.
Two Oak end tables. Designed on the fly right out of my head because I hate sketch up.

A local saw mill makes up runners for lobster traps out of 1 3/4" red oak strips.
He's building a new home and decided he wanted all his furniture and countertops out of oak butcher block.
I notice he'd been drying a boatload of cut offs 25-30" ling for his project, so I asked if he'd sell a few bundles cheap.
He said sure so I grabbed 6 bundles of 30 strips per and decided to build a couple of end tables on the cheap.

This is what I have so far. The only things not of the oak strips are the 1/4 birch plywood panels which were leftover form my recent kitchen cabinet build. It's been fun so far, and I can't wait to finish.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Thanks,
Cliff
