Two simple walnut bowls that I had roughed out back in July. First one is 8 x 2, second is 11 x 2.5, finished with walnut oil.

Really nice Toby, the 'simple' bowl shape is always a great choice for such nice timber.

Normally, I'm not a big fan of walnut but the piece of wood you cut these from is quite nice. The bowls themselves show off the wood nicely. Good choice of finishes. Dark woods show every scratch we leave behind but the flatter finish of oil is forgiving. Of course, that assumes there is a hidden scratch there waiting to be uncovered :)> Job well done, Toby.

Beautiful bowls. Walnut is one my favorite woods to turn and you certainly did a nice job on these.
