Ho ho ho everybody!

Has anyone used, or seen a maggi radial arm saw? These come up every once in a while on craigslist and look pretty good. Any opinions?

At first blush I like the specs, and the solid cast arm construction like the old DeWalts. If one could be bought for a couple of hundred, I'd lay it down to see what the thing can do. I'd have some questions about arbor length though, Europeans are kinda nanny- ish about safety and in the u.k. I believe, the arbors will not mount a dado set, severely compromising it's usefulness.

Heard of 'em, but all I know is that they are Italian, and expensive. 3 phase? Look on the JWK machinery site to see the full range of them. They go from about $1600 to $6,000.

PS: Hank, my Omga is Italian and takes a dado...1" shaft though.
