This is the second finished bowl with the moldy Boxelder. I also included a picture of the rough out with the bold growing nicely. I still have a couple more but will save them for another time. This bowl is finished to be used. It is 13" x 5 1/2" and finished with Livos Oil, a linseed oil derivative that is all natural. It has four coats inside and out. The outside is lightly biffed while the inside is rubbed back with 2000 grit Abralon. For those of you who are adamant about making bowls with no foot, sorry. The dovetail foot is quite pronounced. I figure if I am going to design a foot into a bowl it may as well be part of the design. The shape of the foot picks up the rim shape. It also gives the bowl a lot of lift and feeling of stability.
