I turned 4 African Mahogany bowls from a wide 12/4 board that we had at work. The bowls are to be give-aways at tomorrow's Christmas lunch. The kiln dried wood turns easily but requires a lot of sharpening or you get tear-out. All are 3" deep x 18" dia. Tung oil finish. I have attached the 2 I like best.

Good looking bowls Deane. You still turning outboard? It looks like you have the process down. That was a big board but put to good use. It shows that some of the offcuts too small for normal shop use can be put to good use by a turner. I also like your photo tent background,

Really nice bowls and finish--that curl over is tough with mahogany for sure.
