Hey folks!

Does any one have a supplier for 1mm Chipboard? I found some stuff on Amazon but it's 25, 12*12 sheets for around $12 which is crazy. But I can't seem to find a supplier other than craft / scrap book suppliers who like to charge an arm and a leg. The size of the sheet isn't important but the thickness is, although it doesn't have to be exactly 1mm any where in that ball park is fine.

Thanks

Have you checked with U-Line?

I did, in fact I have one of their warehouse less than 5 minutes from me. They have it, but it's too thin at about .3mm. I need the thickness to make elements like window frames and what not stand out from the other wise flat surface of the MDF for the buildings that I'm doing.

U line has a chipboard that is .03", or .762 mm. Your other option is dickblickdotcom.

I found this:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/50055400/custom-order-for-holli-chipboard-sheets
Evidently meant for a specific person, but if you contact the seller, she might point you towards her source.

Not a great price, but better, considering the size of each sheet:

I could SWEAR I had a link to much much cheaper sheets (and larger)...

If you haven't found a source yet, Newman Paperboard in Philadelphia can make any size you want at a very low price.
Only problem you need to buy in quantity.

Stop in to a local Print Shop. They probably only stock one thickness but should be able to order for you and get it shipped with their regular orders, unless you're in a hurry. I was in printing for 20+ years and had at least one paper truck delivering each week.
