Does anyone know the name for the type of bolt used in Rockler's Miter Slot Hardware Kit?

See picture.

Roger,

The recent hardware I got from Rockler was 1/4-20 threads. This at McMaster-Carr looks similar. This is a oval head...I would imagine you can find it in flat head also.

In the notes it says that if a screw/bolt is over 2" long, it will have at least 1 1/2" of thread but that also means you have an area without threads that would be desirable in this case.

Here it is in flathead configuation: http://www.mcmaster.com/#cadinlnord/90273a552/=kjz4nn

Thanks Ken.

The bolt has two opposing ears on the beveled head that lock in the slots of the expansion bar to prevent the bolt from turning when the star knob is tightened.

I am wanting to build stacked feather boards for my band saw and need bolts that are 3 to 4 inchs long to use the Rockler Kit.

That's called a "ribbed head". I looked at McMaster-Carr and was unable to find them in the "flat head" variety. I will check the oval head and see if I can find them.

Roger, If you're already using a Rockler feather board, you can get a retrofit kit for about $10 which comes with a second feather board, spacers and longer bolts.
