Hi all,

247386

I thought I'd share a sample output image from a program I've been working on to kill time on the bus. My wife had seen some wooden snowflake Christmas tree ornaments and asked if I could cut some on our laser cutter when it gets hooked up (still waiting on the campus electricians . . . grrrr). Anyway, I thought it would be fun to write some code to generate random snowflakes. Here's an image of a set of four. I'll figure out a good way to make this tool available once I clean it up, if anyone's interested.

Cheers,
Matt

I think there have been a few posts in the past about similar programs out there... no reason not to add an extra one to the mix.

I saw some of those, Dan. What I didn't see was a tool that generated authentic looking snowflakes (only multiples of 60-degree angles allowed) and would randomly generate a large number of them at one time. Plus, I needed something semi-productive to do on the bus :)

I would love to get your program. Thanks for the effort.
