Elegant Beauty hardware from Berea Hardwoods.
Maple body, pryo-ed with my battery charger burner and home made woodburning pen.
CA glue finish crackled really badly on me. I had to strip it a couple of times and re-burn it before I learned not to use an old bottle of CA. Finished finally with a gazillion coats of SP10 CA, and polished with some of that EEE polishing wax.

Inspired by Cynthia Gibsons work.

This finally made it across the pond to my exchange buddy from IAP, so I can now show the pix:

Holy cow! That's a beautiful pen! Did you use a microscope when you were burning it?:)

VERY impressive, Jim. You knocked that one out of the park!!!

Thanks guys. It's even more impressive once you realize that I used my cranky homemade wood burner from a battery charger, and clunky hand made pen and tips..

Absoutly Beautiful. I make a few pens but not with any pyro yet. How much time you have in that one? I love it.

How much time you have in that one?

Way, way, way more time than I want to think about...

If it the CA glue had held up the first time, then about 5 hours.

Great pen Jim.
It's pretty rare for someone to do this kind of work by hand but the time spent was worth the effort in this case.
Thanks for the pics, this one is real special.

Thanks again fellows.

I have another one in the bin, just waiting for the CA glue finish. I might wait til I get my new woodburning setup....

Hey Jim, I like that pen a lot. It is well done. I was lucky enough to get a pen that Cynthia did, my wife loves it. I am sure your will be well received.
