I have been off of segmented turning for a couple of months doing other things (like a bathroom remodel, etc.) Did do some angels after being inspired by Curt Fuller, but just couldn't get the juices flowing for making and stacking rings.
So I did the following vase, wanting to concentrate on joints and ring to ring joints to get back in practice. I really like this form which I did on Woodturner's Studio (Jerry is in our club), and hope that I did it justice.

247261247260

Vase is about 5" in diameter and a little over 8" high. Wood is cherry with 9 coats of Woodturners Finish.

Comments and criticisms welcomed.

It's kind of hard to tell from the pictures but it looks like everything is lined up well. Nice form and I like the color. Great job!

Life does get in the way of having fun sometimes. Glad you are back to cutting big boards into little pieces and glueing them back together!
