Jim,get in contact with Boston Gear Co. Those gears are very likely standard parts that they stock. I seriously doubt that Delta custom made those gears for their sanders. Sorry,I erased your message as my mailbox is always bumping the top full.

Thanks, George. Yes, Boston Gear is one of the suppliers that has the replacement gear. Unfortunately, the specs required for the matching bevel gear seems to only be suppllied as plastic gears, not metal. I'll let you kow how this plays out...Best, Jim

Crank carefully,Jim!!!!:) I will too. I could make the gears,but it would not be worth the trouble.

P.S.: a while back I could have bought a nice Rockwell pin router. I noticed that it,too had nylon miter gears,and it was from the 60's. So,nothing new about their use of plastic gears.
