Does anyone know what type of connecter the platforms use(see attachment)? I'd like to have an extra since sometimes I laser items that are too tall and need to remove the table. Let me know if you know where I can get one, besides through ULS.

Thanks

It's a Molex (or similar manufacturer) connector... I don't recognize that particular case, but my guess is you can get away with one of the standard thin cases without issue.

On my VL300 I can just remove the table and go to manual focusing.
This connector is only used to detect the honeycomb table and detect and control the rotary attachment.
Check your table to see if it has any connector, mine does not.

If you don't have a table connected to it, then it won't work at all. What I have to do is remove the connector from the table and then place it on the laser to "fool" it into thinking something is plugged in. That's why I'd like to find an additional connector so I don't have to keep removing mine.

I figured it was some type of Molex connector, but there is no part number so I thought someone might have had the same experience and bought one before.

Joseph,

You can simply jumper across two pins to make it look like the table is in there without taking the connector on and off just use a paper clip. Look at the mating connector and jumper across the two pins on the receptacle. Take the jumper out when you are done

Is this the right connector? Click on the data sheet on the left for a picture.

Yep Pete,

That is the exact connector. $0.44/ea. I'll pick up a couple on my next Digikey order.

Thanks guys, I've been fooling with taking off the connector to fool mine for years.
