I have been asked to build a desk top for inside a old tv cabinet. (one of those that went over the projection types). My sister wants to use it as a desk, some doors then to close when not using it.
Im trying to think how to support the ends, quick and easy would be a L shaped bracket from wood, and then a few screws up into the bottom of the desktop. Im worried this wont allow much expansion. My second thought is a insert for a machine screw, that would ride in a slotted hole in the L bracket .
The desktop is 50" long x 24" wide. I figure fully supported and a couple screws each end.
any thoughts?
