Another Ornament

Much the same as my last one, except this one has a little more piercing. I also think I did a little better job on the icicle and hanger, better proportioned and a better design, although the white of the holly still makes them appear bigger than they are. The hanger and icicle are a little shorter on this one, but I was able to get both from 1 pen blank.

The globe is cherry, dyed red and finished with lacquer. The hanger and icicle are holly with just some lacquer.

Wonderful ornaments. The finial on first one is a sweet delicate shape and I also really like the little crosses you pierce in.
A clever one like you is likely to figure out a way to add a light discreetly, to shoot little crosses of light out...
I've enjoyed working on some ornaments this year in that they are good finial practice, without as many concerns to proportion, so you can just have fun with em.

Really nice, K! I like the color, the groove around the middle [nice design addition] and the piercings are very nice....both icicles are good......the second one is different, but good. I think you are on a roll!
