Several folks asked me about doing a tutorial on the salt and pepper shakers that I posted about a couple of weeks ago that look like the ones below.

Great job on the tutorial and thanks. I've been meaning to try to figure this out. Now all I have to do is try it.

I'm also going to do an addendum to this, showing how I do them on an angle other than 90°....................

Richard that's an excellent tutorial. I'm just a beginner at segmenting but it amazes me how a straight cut creates such a nice curve once the piece is turned. I really like the simple, elegant look of your shakers pictured with just one divider in the wood.
