Club Website question

Since I'm the youngest in our club at 57 and I have a smart phone:D. I was elected as the most likely to succeed at getting a website up and going. Here's the question tristatewoodturners dot com now exists. But how do you get Google, Bing etc. to recognize a search like "woodturning club chattanooga tn"? Also how do I get the clubs website on AAW and others?

At the illiana Woodturners we just use Facebook. It allows much more interaction and communication among members. We can post pictures, events, messages, etc. We have people visit the page and leave likes. I think it works better than the web page with minimum amount of administration. Search us on Facebook.

Not sure what Roger told you in the PM, so this may be redundant. First, be sure to put a lot of metatags/keywords on the pages. At least on the home page at a minimum. This is what search engines often use to reference your site. Second, register your site with Google.
