Couple of green turned bowls ...

Here are a couple of bowls I turned green week before last. I rough turned them, soaked in LDD for two days, air dried for two more days and then finished turning. I wanted to let them get dried before finish sanding today, up to 600 grit, then finished with mineral oil. I have some more cherry and walnut to get started on soon. Thanks for looking.

...and that is why God created more than one species. While Lar likes the swirl in the Poplar, I really enjoy the almost 3-d effect of the Maple. Nice additions to any table. :cool:
