Does anyone know of a good place to buy music box parts? I'm wanting to put together some little musical jewelry type boxes for my granddaughters.
Thanks!

I have used musicboxattic.com a few years ago. They had what looked like good quality and prices. I ordered 3 movements in all metal and when they arrived two were metal and one was plastic. When I emailed them to complain they said they switched vendors and if i didn't like it I could send it back. I wasn't happy about the switch.

I think it all depends on how many notes and the quality you want. You can get Sanyo 8 note for $5 at Klockits or if you want the best you can get a 100 note for $1200 from Bettermusicboxes.
Rockler and a lot of the other woodworking shops have them.

I purchased several movements from National Artcraft (http://www.nationalartcraft.com/group3.htm) They have a huge selection and good prices.
