Grinder Upgrade

I sold enough bottle stoppers and ornaments this week that I was able to treat myself to a new CBN wheel from Dave Schweitzer. It works fine on my 6" grinder, though I had to file more flat on the spindle to accomodate the wider wheel and reposition the wolverine jig a bit to get it re-centered. What a dream to use a tool that has been sharpened on one of these wheels!

Looks like a great setup. As time goes on it should just get better. I really like the small burr it puts on my scraper. Just takes off fluff.

Welcome to the future of sharp tools!!!
These CBN wheels are fantastic, fast cutting, cool cutting, wheel stays same size, ohh and NO DRESSING!
They can be a little harsh at first but after you've used it a while it will bed in and produce a lovely sharp fine edge,
but just remember not to use too much force/weight while your sharpening, usually the tools weight is enough,
And did I mention No Dressing !!! ;-)
