A couple of days ago Dan Forman, another Creeker, and I obtained some freshly cut birch form one of his co-workers. It was already bucked, so we merely had to load what was deemed usable. Of the three pieces that I took, here is what I have so far: The crotch is beautiful. Too bad the arms were already cut off, though. Too late now, but perhaps I should have cut it for a hollow form instead. The other is prepped for spindles and a hollow form or two, since it had a fair amount of rot to cut around. Still have to tackle the largest one, which I hope will yield some large bowl blanks.
