Burl ID

I was given this burl cap a few years ago and don't know what it is. Can anybody help me identify it?245686245687

For perspective, if it matters, it is approx 2" thick

Kinda looks like Walnut

Gene, you may be right, but the heartwood has more of a reddish tint than I have seen with walnut. Maybe walnut burl can have a different color than non-burl walnut. Thanks for your reply
