Does anyone know were I can find a collection of images (free) to laser engrave and sell commercially? The extended licenses on some of these websites are outrageous! Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

It would probably easier to say what type of images you are after and then the individuals on this website which cover a wide variety of specialist images may be able to give you the heads up.

Easier to go take them yourself. There are free sites, but most require you to enroll as a member and then send
you all kinds of spam.

I know it's not free but I see Amazon has copies of Corel Gallery Magic from less than $3
I use it all the time, heaps of fonts too

Be sure to carefully read the license agreement/terms of use, even this one has limitations. For example, when using on a website (what it was meant for) you must have a disclaimer: "the images from Corel GALLERY Magic 200,000 on this Web site may not be saved or downloaded and are only to be used for viewing purposes."

You can try using the Creative Commons search tool (http://search.creativecommons.org/) to find photos or clip art that are licensed for commercial reuse and modification.

If I understand your question, you are looking for something for free, so that you can resell it. And has been mentioned in other responses to your question 'free' can be problematic.

If you have a solid business model I suggest that you consider micro-stock (stock images). Company's such as iStock.com and ShutterStock.com sell images very inexpensively. You have the opportunity to browse their millions of images and to then select just the 'right' one. You engrave it...and make your profit.

Just a suggestion.

Thank you for all your responses.

I think it would be most cost effective to purchase a decent camera and take them myself.

Jim - the problem with this is you need to purchase an extended license for each image, which costs $50+ per image.
