I searched the threads but didn't find an answer. I have your typical General instrument blower 1HP blower for my Laser. The OD of the blower is a tad under 5". When I search for a 5: to 4" reducer all the reducers have a 5" OD, which will not fit over the exhaust port. I want to continue using 4" hose. Does anyone have a source for a 5" ID to 4" OD reducer?

Thanks

Hi ernie
go to home depot in the A/C isle and look there they have all size of reducer I use them for my inline duct blower which has even 6 inch connector.

Ernie,

If memory serves, I simply pushed some metal flex pipe right over the mouth of the blower (the red one from HF), then used a band clamp to hold it in place. No reducer necessary...

Makes me wonder now how big the mouth was...

Our system uses a 5" to 4" pipe connector (http://www.mcmaster.com/#4511K57) and a 4" duct splice connector (http://www.mcmaster.com/#2221K72), along with a hose clamp, to go from the blower to the hose.

Go and scratch in the Wife's garden...... A plastic plant pot cut at the appropriate diameters makes a fine, and cheap, converter........
Throw the plant into a flower bed and blame the children.
