I have decided on a Steff 2038 CI single phase feeder but I am struggling to find a good source. I have been on the Woodtech International website and called them once, but somehow I don't have a good feeling about them. Thanks in advance. Graham

In addition to other outlets, the Felder feeders are still sourced from Steff - I believe. For a shaper I would also look at the horizontal mounted motor feeders by Comatic. Dave

Bought my Steff 2034 from WW Thayer (http://www.wwthayer.com/Feeders.asp) years ago. Smooth transaction.

The distributor is .... http://www.wmdusa.com/

Not sure but I think all Maggi stuff sold comes through them .. Could be someone else can buy direct ..

They can give you a list of all the people they sell too, or it appears sell you one direct..

the WMDUSA site says to contact Woodtech International and when I try to call the WMDUSA numbers, they have been disconnected.

I'll say the same thing I always say, buy used. Here are two of mine:

I can't remember what I paid, but my guess is that it was 6-700 for the pair. Plus I got a delta 3 wheeler for about 150. feeders are something that will come up used at reasonable prices. Craigslist, auctions, etc. As for single phase, I would rethink that. An el cheapo vfd would give you variable feed, a big plus. Plus, all things being equal, the fourth wheel can be a benefit.

If I were buying new, which makes me a little queezy thinking about it, I would check felder first. THis is the time of year that they have some nice sales.

Here is the one for 150 plus auction fees:

I'm with Stephen on used. Paid under 500 delivered for a Steff 2048 and under 600 delivered for a Univer 1800. Like new. Older Deltas are Steff, Elu made a great feeder as did Holz her. You generally want to replace the wheels anyway. I doubt the vfd would cost over 150. Dave
