I'm looking for a good plastic and was hoping someone had some suggestions. I tried HDPE, LDPE, rubber stamp rubber and delrin.........none of which worked because they either didn't cut cleanly enough or were too rigid.
So, does anyone know of a flexible plastic that is between 1/8"-1/4" thick that cuts cleanly with a laser?

I have cut ABS. It's dirty but can be cut cleanly and is more flexible than some other plastics. I don't know where you are in NY but if you want a decent price PM me and I'll let you know where I get mine.

What's the application? That would help a lot in determining a better material.

I also cut ABS and up to 1/8 isn't too bad to cut, though 1/16 is even better and 1/4" does get pretty messy. Even Polystyrene in 1/8" and under cuts pretty well.

It's the backing for some type of car part.......something to do with a clock, I think. Really not sure. Thanks for the ideas.

Can you get that info from your customer?

Rowmark ADA material. Comes in 1/8" thick. Cuts really well and holds detail well, plus it's flexible (and it comes in colors).

Impact modified acrylic is more flexible that regular acrylic and sometimes you can find it at Home Depot, Lowes, etc. You will have sticky edges though.
