I built this from the SIL's wedding tomorrow. I decided to try something different from the designs I normally do. I included hexagrams from the I-Ching. The primary wood is plum from a 3' diameter tree that a buddy cut in his yard. The secondary woods are gabon ebony, Eastern maple, African padauk and bloodwood.
Since eight is the luckiest number to the Chinese, I included eight hexagrams and each half ring is made of eight pieces. It's 13.75" in diameter and 14.25" tall. Finished with lacquer.

Not to much to say about perfection Mr Scott. This just tears it up...I'm in awe!
