Does anyone here own any one of these?

I am too lazy to make one for my grizzly g0555

I've got some of the white ones. I think I got them from Woodcraft a few years ago. Mine are a tad bit under in thickness so I put some tape on the bottom to shim it. Not too much of a pain and it's better than making my own. Besides I ordered a bunch and I'm too frugal (cheap) to throw them out and look for something better.

I have some for my BS, but rarely use them. You have to saw into them free hand to get them to fit into the recess in the table. Getting the slot to the exact location needed can be challenging so as to not leave a large opening. I find it mostly a waste of time as the fine teeth on a BS don't tend to create a lot of tear out any way. Slso the flexing of the blade during cuts soon opens up the size of the kerf in the insert.

I have white and blue ones for the band saw and scroll saw.
I put tape along the blade slot on an old one, then draw a line on the new one with that.

i like that jig. would you provide a few more details about how it, and the inserts, are prepared and used? it looks like the jig creates a kerf that, when the insert is installed, is at the rear of the blade?

On a 24" band saw,I had cut off a small piece off. What happened is that small piece went into hole alright. Not only it jammed the blade up. but also bent the blade.
Who new that 1/4" piece can cause this.

My jig is somewhat like Glenn's only not as fancy and does not use the miter slot.

On my 14" Grizzly, modified to cut metal, I cut a piece of 1/8" or 1/4" hardboard to the same dimensions as the bs. The I saw into the center (with the bs), stop the saw, and tape the hardboard down with double sided tape to keep it from skidding around. When the hold wears too big from cutting curves in metal (twists the blade, of course), it's quick and easy to make a new one.

P.S. I'll proofread next time. Sorry for the typos.

Easy enough to just edit the post.

With jigs like these, why do you need the insert? Just a thin piece of ply and clamp the jig down and there you go.
One of my books on scrollsawing suggested doing just that.

I bought some white ones from Woodcraft for my g0555 but I don't remember if they were the Delta style or the Jet. I'd like to get some more. Does anyone know which it takes?
