Crack in table top

My maple top table has cracked where two of the top boards join. What's the best way to repair this?

A photo would be a great help. No way to understand the issues without being able to see it.

Rip it along the crack line and glue/clamp it....if possible joint the edges prior to gluing.

I agree with Scott .. Cut it on the crack unless the crack is not straight.. If you can clamp the crack shut, use a shop vac to suck glue through the crack and clamp it shut..

I would not do the glue / vac trick unless the crack wasn't reasonable to just cut away..
