Being a 4th generation Californian, it's dificult to watch those fellas felling those ancient growth redwoods...takes about 3,500 years to re-grow, not exactly a sustainable resource.

Bouncing boards, whistle punks, crummies, sky lines.......ahhh, the terminology of the NW lumbering world. Has a ring for sure.
I sure wouldn't want to get in a bar fight with those ax men.
Kinda makes my sad to see those monsters cut down, though we wouldn't have our craft if it weren't for cut trees.

Thank you for the links. I do enjoy films of logging, sawmills and woodworking from the early part of the last century.

It all depends on how many you cut down versus how many viable new trees take root... ;)
