I have nothing invested in this saw--picked it up from the free pile at a sale cause I thought to use a couple of the handles and brackets for a project.
But I looked it over and it's not the worse lightweight saw I've seen. The direct drive induction motor should be quieter and more durable than the typical universal motor/timing belt setup, the table is full size and appears to use the same fence as the cast iron belt-drive saws of similar vintage. The whole mechanism is very simple.
Wondering what people think of these? Do they hold settings? Do they have useable power? Any reason not to just scrap it?
Thanks...
