Festool wont throw one of their sales. I missed the sander sale earlier this year cause I didn't have the funds. Now that I do there has been no sales for months now.

Yeah, forgot about the recon sale. The only real drawbacks are a reduced warranty (which odds are low you'll need anyway), no return privileges, and bladed tools may be shipped with a used blade that has been inspected. Not all dealers are participating, but obviously Bob is one who is. Also be aware that since Festool is shipping the tools directly, you are charged sales tax in several states where they have a presence.

You have run into the Murphy's Law of tool buying. When a tool is on sale the funds are not available. When the funds are there, no sales.
