I've been waiting for a Grizzly sale to order a new planer. Called customer service, and they recommend the g1033, as it is built in an ISO factory. Also in China, so either way it is a Chicom planer. For some reason Grizzly doesn't put the g1033 on sale, so think I will just get the GO454. They have 3 different spiral cutterheads available, and the Byrd H7769 is one of them. The price of inserts is less for the Byrd than the Chicom heads, and although the chicom H7656 is 50 less, think I will order it with the Byrd. Does anybody have this combination? Is there any downside?
