That does look like a great design for chips and dip! I have also seen plates/bowls together like that were soup was in the middle and bread for dipping was around the outside.

Very nice. Love the wood.

Looks like a chip/dip platter to me.. but could be used for veggies and dip, soup and crackers/bread... just about anything.
