Wixey DRO on Jet 16/32 Drum Sander

Well, the conversation here talked me into installing one. Once I sorted out how to do it, the installation was quite easy. I did need to add a wood block and epoxy it onto the back of the drum assembly, and drill 5 holes (the DRO comes with the appropriate drill bits - very nice).

Seems to work very well, and should substantially speed up my work flow, which involved removing the boards and measuring them with a digital height gauge on a table.

Now onto installing ones on my combo jointer/planer and SawStop table saw.

Awesome, thanks for posting. I've been meaning to get to this but was hoping someone would trailblaze. :) The Wixey on my DW735 was an excellent addition and I've since been wanting one on my 16-32.

Nice job. I tried mounting an older style Wixey to my 16/32. It was ugly. The newer style remote readouts seem much more flexible.
