I am looking for drawer handles/pulls that were used in a Seymour tambour desk.

The first image attached shows the desk.
The second image attached is a similar one.
They were called enameled and brass hardware in several literature.

Any one knows where I can buy them(either finished ones or parts)?

Warm Regards,
Dongil

That appears to be very difficult to find. Posting to subscribe so that I see any responses. I thought that I had seen something similar in the last lee Valley catalogue, but I was unable to find it when I checked now...

It seems that Seymour imported the hardware, possibly from Bilston in England.
I think it is not impossible to find it, but could be very difficult as you said.

Thank you for sparing your valuable time on this thread.
If you ever come across any information on it, please let me know.

Sounds like a good question to research/post on the Society of American Perid Furniture Makers site: http://www.sapfm.org/.

I'm not a member there so I can't say what it takes to join.

Dongil,

Your query interested me so I decided to check the Society of American Period Furniture Makers Website as Brian suggested. Horton Brasses and Whitechapel were both listed as hardware suppliers. I can't tell you if there are any other hardware suppliers mentioned elsewhere on their site but I am somewhat familiar with the product line of both of those companies and neither of them sell anything in their regular line that is enameled in the manner you seek. They may have other resources and I strongly recommend you contact them; they're both great companies to do business with.

My other suggestion is to find someone on the web who does this sort of work and see if you can buy stock hardware that they can enamel for you. I have no idea if that will pay off or not.

Good luck on your search and let us know what you're able to find,

Ken

After a few minutes on Google I found the following:

http://www.richelieu.com/produit/search/index.php?lang=An&init=1&search=enameled+brass
http://www.nottinghill-usa.com/knobs/main.html

A good site for searching multiple stores at once: http://www.thefind.com/hardware/info-brass-porcelain-knobs

Question: Those look like (painted) porcelain, not enamel. Do you want to look for porcelain knobs instead?

Brian, I am not a member too. ;-)
Kenneth, I checked Ball and Ball, Horton, Whitechapel, Paxton before I submitted this inquiry, and could not find one.
The second suggestion, finding someone who will do this job for me sounds great, but still needs help.
Greg, I checked the sites you mentioned but could not find one.

Thanks all for spending valuable time on this thread and trying to help me.
