I picked up a type 2 at an estate sale today that has quite a bit of rust. The chromed posts for the cutter head are so rusty the head won't move up and down. I may have to replace them and haven't a clue how big a job this will be. From cursory examination, it looks like a simple job of removing the top plate and base. Have you done this and can you give me some advice and suggestions?

I've done quite a bit of work on the 734 which is similar.

Thanks, Matt. I will tackle this one this weekend to see if I can disassemble/assemble without having parts left over. Hopefully, I can get a workable machine out of this. I posted in the hopes someone had documented how to do this.
