Name of technique

Hi, a little new to woodcarving, have been doing the basics, but I came across this cabinet from scandanavia....wow. Could anyone provide the name of the technique used to form the facets of the cabinet and could you direct me to a place that could provide instruction on doing something like this? I have seen articles in FWW with C.Becksvoort dressing up cabinet fronts, but nothing this dramatic.

Thanks Karl. I guess my internet research is a little rusty, I missed that. What a bummer, I'd rather give it a try with a few gouges than run a grinder for a half hour.
