Looking for ideas / suggestions for family and friend presents to build this year.. Last year I made several "Mitered Frame and Easel" frames from the "Woodsmith Plans" that were a big hit... OK, I didnt get all of them done until January but it is the thought that counts..

Anyone got ideas, that you are willing to share, that have worked for you in the past..

Cutting board are the big ones around here, I have made bunches and everyone in my family has one and love it.
I made some banks from just scrap that have gone over really well and jewelry boxes do well.
Candy dishes, recipe boxes and vases just all kinds of stuff.

Google - wood popcorn dispenser.

Wood magazine had the plans for one in one of their Easy Weekend Projects magazines.
I made one out of poplar & stained it to match our cherry kitchen cabinets.
It was supposed to just be a prototype (the poplar one) & I'd planned to use it as a pattern to make others, but, it ended up matching the cabinets so well I hung it up and we started using it.
