Thanks everyone!

I really lucked out with this piece of wood, the figure is really nice, and it is dark enough that it really high contrast.

Nice Eric...I just never get tired of looking at Tiger Maple. Form looks great. Would suggest trying at least a subtle little lip at the opening if you haven't. I do some HFs without, but tend to favor the ones where I added a lip at the opening.

Eric, you say C&C welcome, so, while I do like it and think it is beautiful, I'll add more than...nice job.

The wood is, no doubt, spectacular. I even like the color, even though, as maple, it is on the dark side. The finish looks good with that barely matte shine...rather than full glossy. I think you did a great job on the curves. They flow well, and are very pleasing to me. I would, however, say that the widest point looks a little low for my taste, though it is not horribly distracting, just a preference. The pic is a little fuzzy, so I don't know about tool and sanding marks, but from what I do see, you got all those out!

If I had done that one, I'd be pleasantly proud. So, please don't take my comment about the shoulder as a slam. Great job.

Mike, you are probably right about the location of widest point, when I laid out the design, I forgot to plan for the tenon in the chuck so I turned the foot to close to its final dimension just outside the chuck rather than planning the foot inside the jaws and refining it once I reversed it.

For some reason, auto-focus was not working, and my AF lens on manual is a rather touchy beast to focus.
