Mimosa Bowl

A piece of Mimosa or Silk Tree. I gave it a small foot to make it look like it is floating. Finished with walnut oil. It's still pretty wet so it might move a little. Looks looks a nice piece of wood to me, what do you think.

Very nice wood, you did a good job with a difficult shape. Mimosa is very stable, it should not move very much.

Nice shape and finish for sure. Try a little trick--before you put a final finish "pop" the color with an oil. Really brings out the darker colors. good luck

The colors are actually much darker. Just the camera making them look lighter.

Nice bowl Wes! Hard to turn walls like that but you managed it well. Sure like the look of the wood - great grain!!
