'500 Wood Bowls' Book

I own two other books in this series, 500 wood boxes and 500 wood cabinets. I’d like to add their bowl counterpart to my collection as a source of inspiration, however I gather it is out of print. My gosh, has anyone looked for this book lately? The cheapest I have seen is a price of about $75 and it goes up from there! $300 + ???? Are you kidding me? This should be like about $20.

If you wait long enough the price will probably come back down. I did that with one of Springett's books, that was going for about the same kind of money at the time....

I've purchased used books from the UK and saved money over the US second hand price. By the way, there are many ways to spend 75 bucks that will give you less inspiration than 500 Wooden Bowls. Mine lives on the table next to my favorite chair and I enjoy it and find ideas in it every time I open it. I also bought 500 Bowls. That book shows ceramic, marble and such bowls. Though they are not wood, they are beautiful and also a source for ideas.

while you wait for the price to return to normal, contact your library and ask for a copy. If they don't have it they will search for it. Enjoy

There are thousands of pictures of all types of bowls and turnings on the internet, I have printed out so many of them over the years I think I could put together a 1500 bowl book! I use them for inspiration and design influence and from many different medias from glass to clay and anything in between. But I understand the desire for good books, because if I ever get my den/mancave put together It will be filled with all the books I have collected over the years and about 600-700 woodworking magazines that my Dad and uncle had and now are mine. They all have things that are of interest to me and one day my grandsons can take a look at some "Real" books, as in time they will all be digital, but I hope not!

Yes Glenn, you are correct. I didn't put "wood" in the search and that was the wrong book. Here are some links to online retailers with the book you want at a reasonable price. I don't have any history with them and can't vouch for them. (just did a google search)

Craig, I didnt type in "wood" and got results for the wrong book. I dont see any listing for "500 Wood Bowls" on eBay. Look above at my previous post for some online sellers thay show they have them at a reasonable price.
