So, I went to New Hampshire for a few days (wonderful place to visit), and low and behold, upon my return, there's a nice box from Mark Harrell waiting for me. :)

2 16" tenon saws. One rip, one crosscut. The rip is the walnut handle and stainless, the crosscut is the nickel black with mesquite.

Awesome doesn't even begin to describe these things. I can't cut too straight (still finding a technique to help me rip straight, at least). But wow. . .these things cut hickory like it's butter.

Picture attached.

I realize not everyone will have the money for two of these, but I would highly recommend anyone on the fence about them to take the plunge. Regret will not be in the same sentence or thought as "Bad Axe Saw".

They're heavy, they require no down force, and they cut. Man, do they cut. I may end up putting my LV saws up and getting Bad Axe saws to replace them.

Just one complaint. . .they took too long! :P Okay, okay. . .they were well worth the wait, I can say that.

Just wanted to share the joy! :D

I agree. My jealousy is radiating strongly in your direction. Those are sure to come in handy!

Well, it seems the rest of us should start planning a trip to New Hampshire . . . . .

Alas, these have to go back. :(

My hand is right at the border of the regular/large handle size. Mark had put a regular on from the info I gave him, and it seems the lower horn on both rubs my palm uncomfortably when I use them.

So, if you have a 4" wide hand like I do, don't be surprised if you have a similar issue. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Literally, if the tote was about 1/4" wider, it would be extremely comfortable. The way it is, it's only a little 1/2" spot on the pad of my palm that gets hot.

Shocker, though. . .instead of just sending out two new handles, he's sending 2 new saws. *gasp* I'm finding out people that supply high-end tools are a pretty darned nice class act and some serious people pleasers.

Adam,
My hands are smaller than yours. Send your old saws to me.
You pay for them of course. That way Mark will not have to resell used saws.
Just a thought to save Mark and you some trouble. :D

I actually thought about it, but I didn't want to get re-placed into the queue.
