Small Red Sycamore hollow vase. First hollowing I've done in some time, and it shows. The mouth was much smaller when I started. Catch on the lip. About 4" x 3." C & C are welcome and wanted.

Finish looks great. To my eye the foot is small for the form. But I tend to like bottom-heavy so take my opinion with a large grain of salt. There seems to be a bit of a flat in the bottom third. But that may well be an issue of photography.

Having said all that, I like it. It's simple and pretty.

Pretty wood. Smooth curves from top to bottom are not easy to do. Good luck with the next one!

Wes - that is an interesting form! What I really like about this piece is the grain orientation! Great effect!!

I do beleive that had it turned out teh way you intended, you would have hit it out of the park with this one. The wood has a lot of character though. It almost looks like ripples of water moving over a very faint grain.
