Greetings wood geniuses or is it geniusi or ??,
I have started a project to build a free standing 12x18, stretched octagonal structure for my wife to grow "garden stuff" within. It is on a cement slab with water and electricity available but not functional yet. The sides consist of reclaimed windows from Restore and I think they will be fine. My current dilemma is skylights. Should I make them or is that a pain. I have all the tools, I think, and a reasonable wood shop but I hate to have to do things over so.... Here is finally the question, would you make or buy? Costs are a consideration but costs of redoing is always more! Thanks in advance!

No reason that you could not make your own. They are not complicated. I would make them out of Versatex rather than wood. Uses the same tools but no problem handling a little water.

For a greenhouse you may want to make at least one vent to keep the heat down on hot days.
