I need to laser medals for 200 people. All the data is in a spreadsheet in two coluumns. Column 1 : Name & surname, Column 2: achievement
I want to import the data into Coreldraw in the form of 200 seperate drawing objects in the form:
Name1 Surname1
Achievement1
.
.
.
Name_n Surname_n
Achievement_n
any ideas?

Roy Brewer at Engraving Concepts has posted a couple of very good tutorials on his site. http://www.engravingconcepts.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20&Itemid=67

I think that you need a "title" at the top of each column - otherwise you loose the first record when you import.
So add the titles, save as a csv (comma separated variable) file and Corel's print merge should fly.

Interesting but not extremely useful. I am not engraving one item at a time.
I will engrave a matrix of items 10 x 20. to fit on a single sheet of material.

That's exactly what it does. I don't know what tutorials you watched, but you need to look for one by Roy Brewer. What you are trying to do is easy and it's exactly what that function does.
