Any of you have a preference for a good blade for cutting Laminate Flooring, Melmine and other particle board goods? I know I am going to be doing all 3 soon so any recommendations would be appreciated! I am looking at a Freud #TK806L, anyone have this one. I think the TK means Thin Kerf. Oh by the way the saw it will be on is a Delta Contractors saw with 1 1/2 HP Saw!

Thanks,
Corey

I purchased an Amana Melamine blade from my favorite blade sharpener, Scott Whiting. It cost about $80, and is a high alternate tooth bevel (high-ATB) grind, similar to the Forrest Duraline. The Amana works really well. See it here:

The Freud blade you mentioned is a triple chip grind, and not as effective in melemaine and plywoods as the high-ATB grind on the Amana and Forrest Duraline. I would steer clear of thin kerf blades altogether, especially for melamine and plywood. You want no flex in the blade at all. The Amana has thick plate for that very reason. I had a Freud triple chip blade and got rid of it because it chipped melamine.

I've got the same Amana as Dave. It works great. Also works great on a miter saw. I got better results with it than with my new Forrest ChopMaster.

I've been using the Freud, though not Thin Kerf. It's worked well. No problems.
